Snack Attack

If you have young children like myself, I am sure you probably battle to keep up with the apparent hunger level of your minis, "MUUUUUUM, I'M HUUUUNNNNGRRRRYYY.

I actually attempted to record today how many times I heard that sentence, however I lost count once it got into double digits.

The fact that my 3yr old mini doesn't quite understand what hunger actually is and that both minis are well nourished and offered a variety of foods doesn't seem to fulfil the boredom induced hunger or what I like to refer to as 'mama just moved out of our sights for 30 seconds, best we make contact and tell her we are hungry' syndrome.

In order to keep them well fuelled and to reduce the amount of time I have to listen to those 3 words, I have a handful of nutritious snacks that are easy to prepare and enjoyed by the minis and are also great addition to my school aged minis lunchbox. I am lucky that my minis aren't really fussy eaters, however it is still a challenge to think up creative snacks that both age groups will eat.

Here are some of our favourites:

Guacamole & Corn Chips, Bliss Balls, Pikelets, Ants on a Log, Fruit Platter, Picnic Plate
